Anybody on here mess with Pontiac ohc sixes ? A friend of mine has one I'm thinking of getting .I don't know why I want it but I like inline sixes, especially GM engines.

Dear Tom; I've often wondered the same ting as they had a 12 port head too. I guess; By the time they came to be, the "muscle car era" was in 'full swing' and inline 6s weren't popular etc. What can I say? If the price is right, get it.

That means 4bbl carb , right ? I don't think my buddie's is a 4 bbl engine . I'm looking for something neat to put it in . I'd like to find an old Pontiac station-wagon .

a t bucket or track roadster would be nice it would show off the motor better.

might be kinda hard to get that many cylinders between the firewall and radiator though, eh?

There is a member who come by here occisionally who has been running a OHC in a opel on the salt for many years. I'll ping him later.

The engine pictured on the site Firebirdst suggested is a beautiful thing , all polished & painted up . I've found a second engine since my first post . Complete but stuck from sitting for several years , stored inside , & covered . Maybe it is meant for me to have a couple , you think ?

T; Well if your serious about building one, It's always better to have 'extra parts' than not enough. Hot Rod magazine did a some articles on those in the mid 60s. Looking there might help. Let us all know what you find.
