I have an opportunity to pick up a McGurk triple intake but it doesn't appear to have any method for heating - no vent to exhaust or water circuit of any kind. The 3 carb ports are directly above the 3 short intake pipes. Are these short enough that they will conduct enough heat from the head to prevent frosting and rough running?

Bob is correct if your in a cold/frezing area.

It will be fine in Texas. Perhaps require a longer 'warm-up' than stock during winter months.

They were MFG in the 50s in California and worked great here. They would not work as well In Pa. where Bob is.

I'll buy it, if you decide you don't want it.

Good luck. \:\)

It was concidered a "racing" intake, and as such it didn't have provisions for heating.
"Street" intakes always have provisions for heating built into them.

If you need the heat for street Tom at Stovebolt can modify an Offy dual intake(yours or his) that has the water heat provision to a tri-power setup. I had that done for my Ply flathead motor. Just measure and make sure the rear carb will clear the firewall! You can use the 1 bbl carbs or go with the Carter/Weber 2 bbl progressive carbs with no problem by using an adapter.
