While we're somewhere near the subject of fuel, I have thought of getting the Holley 2 barrel carb from Langdon's (for a Chevy 250) and see that it comes with a water choke. I'd like to put an electric choke on it if I do get one.

The question is if someone knows the correct parts and where to get them. I found something that looks like what I'd need in JEG's, but I'm not sure (and don't have the catalog here to post the part #s)

The other question is where I'd find instructions on setting the carb up to work properly.

I´m a controll freak \:D
and I don`t want little black boxes to take over such an important thing like the choke.

Most automatic chokes (electric or water or both like on some holleys) ar choking way to long.

That thins the oil on the cylinder walls and causes wear.

I converted my holley/weber to a manual choke with a $10 kit of a Toyota (Landcruiser) dealer.

I'd urge you to give the water heated choke a chance. Mine is just incredible. Before I started on my rod-storation my truck could sit for a few days in cold weather and I could get in, pump it once, tap the key, and it started immediately, idled nice, and I could drive off while the engine was still stone cold.

Boo

Paint it black with a rattle can, and drive it like ya stole it!
