I have seen posts on here about the difficulty of finding harmonic balancers. Stevens Specialty Auto Parts has new balancers for Chevrolet and Ford sixes. Their phone number is 1-800-443-2673.
They said they have balancers for 250s abd 292s. They quoted me a price for a 1978-83 250 for $59.00. Seems pretty reasonble. Their ad doesn't say where they are, just their phone #. Hope this a help to someone. Joe

P.S. They also have exhaust manifolds for sixes--Ford and Chevrolet. Joe

Steve's lists a balancer for the 292, but the model years listed are 1975-1989. Does anyone know if this balancer would be compatible with earlier 292's, specifically a 1967?

A 250" one might fit but check with NOVAMAN/Larry.

Balancer should fit The only difference mit be 2 or 3 groves.But also the 250 Mit be to light weight for your 292, so it would be in your best interest to use the right balancer/dampener.
