HELP! Needs the measurement on the oilstick from top of oilsticktube down to the maximum and minimum mark !
Somebody have stolen my dipstick!

I'm thinking the difference is in the tube between the 230/250/292, in that the 292 has a shorter tube for the dipstick. Anyway the only dipstick I have is for a 292. From the stop it measures 13 3/4 to full and 14 3/8 to add. If you can't find another in Norway and want to pay for the ride let me know.

Never been in NOrway? This country did have the top with anerican cars straight after WW2 when rich ones, docs and so could by US.car , others get only licens to buy european or cars from easteuropea....
russian LADA, so on!
The cars who got to junkyards is scrap or another enthusiast had got it to grage. And this 70 Nova Engine come at the time cars was specially imported by enthusiast, and 6-inline wasnt intrest enough...

leaded. all you have to do is drain the oil pan and add exactly four quarts of oil to it. that is the level that the dipstick should read full. if you want a low mark start with just 3 quarts. tom

Just a sidenote: The 292 tube is 3/8"O.D. With 6" length outside of block (Installed). It has a slight bend at the base that curves forward, is about 7" from rear of block.
