does anyone know what is required to install a full flowing spin on oil filter in a 235? ie: is any drilling in the block nesisary. I was reading a "how to" artical in Deve's antique trucks web page. and it was showing drilling near were the oil pump conected. the place I had my block machined at sayed that i could run the line going in to the filter with a tee comming out of were the oil presure sensor is. then run the return line into the theads near behind the generator but before the exhaust. just wondering if anyone knows anthing about it.

Dear Steve;

Please check 'past postings' and there's a tech article on this here too.

We've all talked this one to death.

Good luck. \:\)

What your machine shop is discribing is the stock bypass filter setup that just dumps back into the oil pan.

Machining of the block is necessary to achieve full flow oiling. See the "tech tips" on the sidebar.
