1. when im driving my 1972 c-10 with a 250 three speed the shifter on the column shakes at high rpm is this caused because i dont have a tranny crossmember. if so where can i pick one up?

2. will langdons headers get in the way of my shift or clutch linkage?

3. i want to put an oil filter relocation kit in. where would be the best place not in the way or hard to get at?

3] I would put one on the passenger side fender, aft of the terminal block. Or just behind the battery on the fender skirt is there's no room on the fender.
1 + 2 I don't know. I have a 4-speed SM465 and Clifford headers on my '68 C/10.
Have you ever considered using a "deep dish" 292 oil pan instead of re-plumbing your oil filter guts? The 292 pan holds a full 6 quarts (with a PF35-type quart-sized oil filter) and would bolt right on. Unless you're cutting c-notches in your frame, clearance would be no issue. You'd need a 292-type longer oil pickup as well, but otherwise the modification would be simple and you would get cooler oil temps from having a larger volume.
