can anyone id this motor? i think it is a 235 here is the stamped number by the distributer: 0760303F547 thanks \:D

That's the serial numger not the casting number. Look by the fuel pump.

The date code is above the starter. A-L = month, next # is the day and the next is the year ie; D 13 6= April 13, 1956.

Check the left margin engine ID list.

Just match it to a number in the "casting #'s" list in the left margin.

F547 in your serial # could mean June 5, 1947.

The 235s came out around 51 in cars, but there were some in trucks before that.
