Got my tape measure and glasses out, and it looks like I'll have 2 problem areas doing the engine swap. 1st. is the oil pan and 2nd is the clutch linkage ball mount. I can't find it on the bulletin site so can I swap oil pan and pump from the 194 and can I drill and tap the 250 block to accept the pivot ball?

Yes, the pan, pickup and pump will work from the 194. Yes, you can drill and tap the bolt boss on the 250, if it's in the same location as the boss on the 194. If the 250 is a truck engine without the passenger car boss, you'll need an adapter. I think Twisted 6 has the adapters available.

Thanks,

Dave

If you do not have Power steering on the car,You do not need to swap the oil pans.As for The Zbar ball. NOT all 250s where chevyII Blocks.Look at your oil pan rail and see If it has The Boss on the block like your 194 does. If it does Not Get with me on that.
Back to the Oil pan if you take a look at my web site You will see where The small Mod Needs to be made to the Oil Pan.

If You try and swap The Oil Pan Off Your 194 You will also NEED to DRILL your Block for The DIP STICK Other WISE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE to check Your oil level!!

I have a 71 250 in my 62 Nova. I used the stock 71 pan and did the mods Larry suggested, works fine. I originally put the 194 pan on and could not check the oil properly. I have an automatic so have no info on the Zbar
