Is the stock PCV valave adequate for a beefed up 194? I've been told this may be an issue with oil consumption & possibly performance. What number should be installed?

The 'stock' PCV system won't hurt a thing, as Larry points out.

Just make sure there's a open breather or the KV line is in place, is all. It can't be totaly closed.

Good luck. \:\)
