is it possible to enlarge the exhaust valves on these from 1.50 to either 1.55 1.60, not just for power but because there are really good cheap stainless steel valves with undercut stems that are swirl polished besides, what you guys think?

Wouldn't it be chaper to have the 1.55+ valves cut down to fit the heads you have?

The exhaust valves can't be enlarged because their on an angle and the area needed to do it goes into water.

Sorry; everything's been tried over the years and why Wayne designed/built the 12 port one.

Hapy trails. \:\)

Try to get some 1,5" Manley Pro-flow valves, they flow heaps better than the stockers.

Are you trying to keep the stock casting number? If you are not any 1954-62 235 head will work on your 53. 1956-62 heads will need a readily available adapter for the temp gauge but that is all.

There # is (520) 836-1117 & they should have one.

Good luck. \:\)
