I've never seen anything here about Crosleys, here. I wonder how many Inliners have them?
I have a '52 CD sedan that I just began to restore. Hope to have it running by the time Latimore Valley Inliner's meet and Jalopy Jamboree 2008 comes up.
Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!

I have a '49 or '50 Crosley station wagon but don't know if I will ever be able to get to it. Maybe someday! S
PS...the data tag is missing on the firewall so haven't figured which year.

I believe that Jack Choate is the Inliner's Tech Advisor for Crosleys. His contact information is in the 12 Port News and Membership directory.

My dad built a Crosley powered 3/4 midget when I was a kid. Neat car.

Sam, If your car has disc brakes, it's probably a '49-'50. If it has 9" hydraulic brakes it's a late '50 up to '52...which was the end for Crosley. Before that, they had 6" mechanical brakes.... scary! If you need any parts, Service Motors, or Yankee Crosley are good to ship fast.
Hoyt, I had chatted with Jack Chaote before. Nice fellow. Thanks for responding
Stock '49. Thanks for the site!
Frenchtown, As a kid growing up in Florida, I remember Crosley-powered hydroplanes. They were screamers! At Daytona, they had Hot Shot rental cars for driving up and down the beach. I'll bet that little race car was a blast to drive!
I bought a Crosley wagon in late '58 for $20. Drove it until I went into the Army, in early '59... never spent a dime on it. Funny thing is, the twenty dollar one was in better shape than the sedan I just paid $1,800 for!

Oh, Baby! That really turns me on! Being retired and able to handle only one project at a time, prevents me from bidding on that sucker. Oh, why couldn't I have been born rich? Think of the toys I could have!
