Has anyone here on the fourm had any experience with either the New Vision 535 or the New Process 2500 5 speed transmissions used in Dodge rear drive applications like the 87 to 94 Dakota pick ups and the small rams? Also has anyone used the New Process 833 overdrive 4 speed transmissions also used in MOPAR rear drive vehicles? They have a smaller front mounting face much like the standard flat head transmission and might fit our bell housing better and with less work than the T-5's do.

I just installed an A833 behind my 292. The The front bearing retainer is larger than the SM420. It is the same size as the SM465. My 292 handles it very well, nicely geared. My biggiest problem so far is putting it in 2nd, like a 420 or 465 instead of 1st.

A Camaro T-5 is literally a bolt on arrangement. At most the only mod you need to do is bore the mounting holes to 1/2". I actually forgot on my latest swap and the 1/2" bolts still went in ok. You'll just need a '67 & earlier bellhousing for the smaller hole.
