Hi, does anyone produce/make a crankshaft scrapper for 250 Chevy? Also, who builds nice oil pans, aluminum or modded steal ones for same engine? Mainly for drag race. Thanks

Hank as In a extra Qt or two? I have been working on a modifed stock Pan for Us Guys with the Chevy2s/Novas. with a notch Because of the drag Link issue. But there are a few ways to add the Extra Qts to a pan. But not hard to do, You can makeit deeper Or make it wider at the bottom. As for a crankscrapper That I'm not sure of. }[oooooo]

I was thinking of more like baffles & pan kickouts on the starter side. This would be for a 69 Camaro. The 292 pan holds an extra qt. over a standard 250 pan?

Yes i know the Pan Holds 6Qts. So your wanting a little more then the 6qts? Your after more of the Roundy Round style Oil pan where the sides are wider at the Bottom,With making the Pan Itself any Deepper??Right?? That Isn't so hard to do.And your wanting a Baffles where? at the Back & the sides??? In the Deep area??

Remember... If you make the pan deeper you have to get the pickup down to it too. Then you have the fun of checking for pan to cross member/ground clearance. Measure twice - Buy/Modify once!

Charlie Gilbertson in Canton, Ohio will make you a custom, all aluminum oil pan.
Re: Crank scrapers. To be effective it must conform very closely to the crankshaft throws and rod path, necessitating a custom built piece for each engine, depending on which crank and connecting rods are being used.
Also, consider relocating the starter motor to take advantage of a full length pan kickout. Good luck.

Look on CrankScrappers.com. This guy makes them for all types of engines, if he does not have one for your engine, he can make one if he has the engine to look at. He is located in Land O Lakes, Fl.

Slantsix... I tried the crankscrappers.com but could not find it. I would like an oil pan that is kicked out on the passeger side to reduce oil splash back. Hank
