I do not want to over step my bounds, being new and not even an official Inline owner yet, but I do have an idea. Can we start a new section that give specs on each others motor, part numbers, machining processes, tricks of the trade and new ideas with Inline motors? We can even post dyno's and estimated horsepower. We could do this for all makes of inlines and maybe even get this published, if not at least a section on the boards for this. You can buy tons of books for V-*'s that give all kinds of advise (some good and some bad mind you,) but I think if this were to happen, we could learn from each others mistakes and successes. Just an Idea. lets get some feedback here.

Dear Dick;

Something like that could be done, but I'm not sure what the costs would be.

First; I think we need a designation for 'welcome guests' and 'active members' so all of us can tell "who's who" & "what's what".

It probably will take a raise in membership dues however. Well worth it! Right??

There's only about 1500 of us compared thousands of the V-8 folks. Perhaps a secret ballot in our semi-monthly book would produce the answer.

I too think that's an interesting idea, but maybe post info in a column in "12 Port News" since you must be an Inliners member to get the mag.That way it would be financially supported
and would respond to John's concern about who's who. It would also meet the request of Wanda Kincaid for articles.

We could post info on this board. I do need to join , instead of just the board. I think I'll do that after finals. I probably should have posted this in another section also, sorry. I just think it would benefit all. parts are not as easy to find as V-8 parts and it is a lot more expensive. This could save time and money. It also might make Inlines more prevelent.

Well Dick Dale

Nice idea But Many Parts from the v8things are used in our L6s Rods, Rockers, Pistons,flywheels,clutchs, Dampeners, Heads With The right amount of Money & Time.
And My 2cents Is These is what the 12 port News is For. Maybe Once a yr. We make a 12 port Issue as Maybe???? a Bonus Issue Of the Members Builds/Motors. As for the Tips & tricks That does show up now and then.
As For a Spot on the Site?? If It was a Paid!! Members Only Viewing spot Yeah. We don't Give the 12port away for Free If we did It would then Be more like Our web site And Thats Not right.So I feel That Type Of Info Should Be For those who wish to share it If Asked. But Not as a Full Free Viewing Page. The Idea Here Is to Get Members.

Again As a Paid Member this is My 2cents worth.

Dear Dick;

I'm in full agreement with Drew & Larry.

This would have to be a 12 Port News function, by and for members only. Perhaps a Special Edition as mentioned. It would afford us Copyrite protection as well. Over the web anyone could print our info, publish it, or send it to anyone they wanted and we (the writers/members) or the club would have no control(s) etc.

I think the BB was created for small/quick questions to gain interest/membership to our international group.

Dick, By all means join even though you are
searching for an inline. One of the perks of membership is receiving a members list with
contact info. You may find someone in your back
yard to aid in your search ! \:\)
