Greetings . . . Check out the Thickston manifold on ebay: Ebay item 270010152161 I've seen these around several times before. This one is up over 4 Franklins and the reserve is not yet met? Looks sandblasted to me. regards, stock49

Wow. I know nothing of those manifolds but I just have to remark that the casting is like a piece of art. All those ridges.... Definetely an eye catcher

Those pictures aren't the best, but it looks like it's been blasted to me also. That linkage shaft wouldn't have a "satin" look to it if it was NOS. I have seen them go that much several times. I got mine for about $200 without linkage.
They made a more "normal" intake also, which I have only seen once before (on Ebay). I'm thinking the "normal" one is probably rarer than the art deco one. The deco Thickstun and the dual Tattersfield are probably the best looking intakes ever made.

i would say it was used and blasted. the carb. mounting pads should have a machined look not a cast look.

Your all right, It's not NOS at all.
The 'orginal' Offy dual for the 216 had rounded ends, unlike the 'squared off' ones today.
I think these were the ones everyone tried to "best", back in 'those days.'
It will be interesting how big a fish this guy catches.

It might be used but it is in excellent shape. Doesn't look like there are any nicks in the fins and it looks like the area for the heat riser is in great shape also. I've had three or four of them in the last five years and this one is the best I've seen ever. Would I pay 600.00 for it no. Is it worth it. Sure, there is more than one guy bidding on it it must be. Cheers!!

i've got a question. were the fins just for looks? i see it still hooks to the exhaust for heat, but wouldn't the outer ports run cold. it is a pretty design. tom
