Hey guys, I'm a noob to this site so forgive me.
I have a 72' Nova with an inline 6 (250) and I love it. I currently have everything 100% restored stock, but I am interested in running an Offy 3x1 intake manifold. I was wondering if anyone here new any other place than eBay, that might have them? And possibly somewhere else besides SummitRacing too, I know the Offy 3x1 they have wouldnt ship until 2/16/06, and I dont wanna wait that long! lol
Anyone on here have one they'd sell? Help!
Thanks guys

You might check the classifieds here. Otherwise e-bay is your best bet for a comlete set-up. A "three carb" might be to much for a stock engine though, so I would look for a single 'quad' instead. Good luck & welcome to Inliners Int.

In my '65 ChevyII I ran an offy 3-carb intake on a stock 230 with three glass-bowl Holleys. It didn't do well until I installed a set of dual headers with dual exhausts and Smitty mufflers. up-graded ignition helped some, too. It sounded great and pulled hard all the way to about 5,000 rpm....where the valves began to float.
Later, with some pocket porting, an Iskendarian cam, lifters and new springs, that sucker really woke up. Everything else was left stock and it was a good and peppy cruiser.
Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!

try speedway motors.
with a 3x1 intake you can just have the two out board carbs for show if the motor is stock. if you do the exhaust and a little head work run the two out board carbs and a dummie in the middle or a block off plate. then if you add a cam. and a rear you can go for all three. a lot of versitly and tunning in just one intake and some carbes.

As far as the stock aspect, my plan was (as well as the 3x1 intake & carbs) to run Langdons dual echaust headers, and use true dual exhaust all the way back (with flowmasters). Then leave it like that for a little while until I have enough money to go to compcams for a cam, lifters, springs, and timing set. But it should run fairly well with the 3x1 and headers right? That's my main question. Thanks for the useful feedback fellas.
