Hi all,
Anyone know if it is possible to install piston oilers/squirters in a 250? Im working on putting together a turbo engine and would like the underside of the pistons cooled with oil. I've seen other types of engines modded for this, but I have'nt heard of this being done for GM inliners.
Cheers'

The 'early' engines (pre 62) had a tiny hole in the rod's "big end" which squirted oil on the cylinder wall for extra (low RPM) lubrication. GMC rods had this too. Is this what your refering to??

Not exactly. Its explained a little more here http://e30m3performance.com/installs/installs-3/squirters/index.htm I want to install them to help cool the pistons under boost when towing up long hills. Wondering if anyone else has done something along these lines.

I run piston oilers/squirters on my engine, but its dry sumped. I have never tried it with a wet sump set up. I mainly do this because my dry sump system creates a lot of vacuum pressure so I need run the oilers to keep everything lubed.

Honda used oil squirters on some of their production vehicles. Check out www.honda-tech.com for some info. I'm sure there are some pictures on that site.

Your going to use forged pistons for that, so I doubt if any of this would be needed etc. Perhaps you should pose the question to those in the 'forced induction' section here. These guys build, operate and race these engines & would know better of this design option. Good luck.
