I just got the Leo Santucci book, and am iching to start building my next motor! How many people have done the Hybrid head? It looks like it is fairly simple as long as the time and precautions are accounted for. I was think of buying a cheap set of used heads to make my first one. Any tips that might not have made it into the book?

There is a lot to consider if you're planning on jumping into this. The deck must be redrilled to the new head bolt pattern. Custom side plates need to be made as well. It's a bit more than just cutting and welding the heads, there are gaps that must be filled in. Intake, exhaust and a valve cover are all custom units. It is, with out a single doubt, a labor of love. An awesome thing, to be sure but massive amounts of work. Larry's lump ports are way easier. Don't get the wrong idea, I don't sell for Larry, I crew for Leo! I may build a mellow one for my truck, just to be different but I know the work involved.

What is the status on Leo's car?

After all the builds we have done a lump port is the easy way to go.

Armond!

I heard something that Leo will use the 4.2 Vortec L6 engine in his car. Is that true??
Do you have any news or updated pics from his car??

Thanks!
