I don't have access to a 4.2 for measurements, can anyone familiar with the Jag and 4.2 give me an idea if there would be any fitment problems dropping the stock 2wd 4.2 and tranny into a 6 cylinder XKE (narrower rails than the v12).

I have the original number engine I want to pickle, and don't want to cut up the Jag at all except possibly a little hammering if needed in the tunnel or so.

Any idea of weight differences? Thanks, Skip
