Does anyone know when the grill changed from the 5-bar to the bull-nosed grill on the Chevy 2-ton trucks? I have someone selling what they think is a 52, but it has the bull-nose grill. Should I believe it is newer than 52? I think it's an older lady so she isn't able to get numbers off the engine for me. Any help here?

If it ain't broke...break it.

brodo,
1953 was the last year for the 2 piece split windshield & the 5 bar grill. 1954 was when the change was made to 1 piece curved windshield & the bull nose grill. it was also when the 1st 261's came out.
good luck,
robert

Robert's right.

A 1954 2 Ton truck would have had a 261" engine from GM.

I would check that out, as this model is really hard to find.

Good luck. \:\)
