Greetings all,
Been offered employment in Tulsa towards the last part of 2008.
Any residents care to tell about the area?
Housing, weather, ect?

Dear John;

I guess; your trading a Hurricane for a Tornado and lousing an hour, as mentioned.

Take the job & good luck. \:\)

As i recall, Scrap, Dan Jenkins wrote a novel about South Fort Worth and called it "Baja Oklahoma"--a great read.

Oklahoma is many things, John, depending on what one is looking for, and Tulsa has produced some extraordinary characters and events. In the twentieth century, there was oil money, and there may be some of it left. Oral Roberts and Billy James Hargis were two of the more exotic birds in that cage, and Oral Roberts University is still there. i think you'll find plenty of folk who play with cars--for the Inliners, check the Inliners membership directory.

God's Peace to you.

Nothing to do with Inliners, but the motoring event of the decade happens in Tulsa this June...

Wish I could be there!

Chili Bowl is in January. Tulsa has an old drag strip dating back to late 50's, they will host a Super Chevy Show in October. Just east of Tulsa is Joplin, Mo,Mo-Kan drag strip dating back to 1962. Also about 5 Willy's coupes live in Joplin.
