I would like to keep up on many of the topics posted, however I'm nowhere near my truck and won't be for another 5 months or so. In other forums I go to I'm able to save online, the threads that interest me and I eventually download them to my computer once they've run their course. Is there a way to save the threads on the forum and if not, is there a way we can change that?

If I "right-click" on the topic title, I then see the option to add the link to that topic thread to my bookmarks or favorites, along with several other options. This is on my Macintosh at home or the PC that I have to use at work.

I suppose I could go with what Hoyt does, but saving it to my hd doesn't do me any good since people add their thoughts, and I'd have to keep going back, checking it and re-saving it to include ALL the posts in the thread. On the 67-72chevytrucks.com forum I can save the thread online within the site and periodically check it months or even years later and it's all there- THEN I can save it to my hd in it's entirety.

Actually, all I do at the other site is 'mark' it and it's sort of saved to my profile folder. The original post isn't moved at all, rather just a marker links to the original post which I can go back to months or years later. I typically dl and save to my hd, but I can't always check this site nor do I always remember which threads I could really use and unfortunately, many times they're lost for me.

Brad,
I'm pretty sure that what I'm doing is what you want also. By clicking on the "Bookmark this Link" option , after I've right-clicked on the topic of interest, I'm just saving the link to the topic, so that whenever I click on the bookmark I will go to the current thread, not just what it was when I saved the bookmark.

Hoyt, thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me- it just takes me to the main page after I click on the saved link.

Uh, Walt I already explained in depth why copy and paste won't work.

Brad-
I'll add my 2 1/2 cents to this string... Perhaps you can find the thread you want by making a note of some key words in the topic, then when you want to come back at a later date, just do a search in the Forum you want for those words. I tested this with the words "5 months" that was in your original post and it came up with the several topics with that particular phrase in the text. You can pick the appropriate one for review. Give it a try from the Forum Home page and see what you get.

Ok, I found a way to make this work that no one had mentioned before. Up top there is a way to email the post to someone. I simply email it to myself and will create a special folder in my email account and eventually will dl the thread onto my hardrive once it's run its course. This way I don't have to keep checking on it and saving it everyday (like I have that much time!)
It'd be much better if we could update the software though!
