Anyone know what the max overbore would be for a 265 six? I have not yet torn it down,but I imagine that it would need to be bored.I think Sealed Power has std,.020,.040,and .060.

If you're willing to use custom pistons you can probably go more than .080, why not have a shop check the wall thickness to be sure? I don't there would be a problem with .060 over bore.

My 230 engine is at .080 over now.
Don't know who the engine rebuilder was, or where the pistons came from. It was installed at a Sears automotive shop in California back in 1975 or so.

Terrill Machine in Deleon, Tx. has pistons up to .100" over. Price is right too.

Hmmm.....100 over...that would make it right around 280 cubes...I like it!
