Hi
I just fired up a rebuilt P-24 (218) and water is dripping from
several of the nuts fastening the manifold to the block! New studs,
(NOS) were used, with Permatex on the threads which enter the
cooling jacket. New gaskets, blah blah.
Pretty weird; I haven't seen this before. Have any of you?
Happy Labor Day.

Personally, I gave up on Permatex years ago. I prefer the teflon pipe dope instead whenever I'm doing anything sticking into a water jacket.
