Whats everyones opinion on hookin up a 700R4 to the back of a 230: Good/Bad??

could get expensive, but anything can be bolted to anything, if there's enough money!

an easier way out, if you live near a salvage yard that has military/ civilian aircraft towing equipment, are aircraft and factory tugs. they were made even up into the '70s, i've been told.

many of them had torgueflight transmissions with the proper adapters to bolt up to your flathead 230. a friend bought an engine/tranny from a tug cheap, for his '37 plymouth pickup. however, these are not od transmissions.

I believe Wilcap is the name of the company that makes an adapter plate to bolt up a Mopar flat 6 to a Chevy automatic transmission. John Burke has installed one of these in his home built flat 6 powered hot rod. This is a George Asche built Desoto big block engine. You can reach John Burke at ww12618@navix.net
