I have an Edmunds head on my 49 Wayfarer, 230 inch (plus .060) flathead six. Just replaced the head gasket. Noticed for the first time while the head was off that the Autolite 295's that were in there were too short. They are a 14mm, 3/8" reach plug, looks to me like I need a 14mm 1/2" reach. 3/4" reach is definitely too long. Anyone know what will work?

Hello.
You might try contacting Pete http://www.50plymouth.com
He has an Edgy head but might have an answer for you.

I have the same head on my 230, found the same problem, and worked with Autolite to find a solution. I'm now running an Autolite AP425, which is a 1/2" reach Platinum plug that is slightly colder than the OEM plug. Works well for me!

Thanks, I'll give them a try!
