I have 230 I'm trying to put in my 49 Suburban. The problem is the 230 is set up for a front sump and my car requires the oil pan lobe to be in the rear. With the lobe in the front it sits on the tie rod.

What are my options? Is it just a matter of changing the pan and pickup?

Thanks

You are correct, all you have to do is change the pan and pick up. They made pans of all types depending on the application. In fact the pan from the 218 should bolt up to the 230. Hope this helps.
