just checking in with all on the board.
Was highly recommend that I join in here ti increase my knowledge on the Mopar flatty.
Building a '49 Coronet 2-door, 50's style.

Which engine do you have? 218, 230, 237? Length of the head is the easy way to check, under or over 2 feet is easy to remember.

Probably a 218, IIRC. Keep your eyes open, if that's the case, for a 230, which has more bolts holding on the flywheel but fits right in just the same. In fact, you can change the crank, rods and pistons for a more or less instant capacity increase.

These engines replaced the 218 in 1954.

Did not really ask the ? but mine is a 230.
I do have a spare 218 also
