I came across a 57 IH Golden Anniversary yesterday, was wondering what motor they were supposed to have? What 6 would look good in there? Someone put what looks to be a 392 IH in it. Also, anyone know where to get resto parts? Might make this another project, no rust and only $500. The guy thinks it's just a plain IH to him, but it's got that fiberglass box on it...

Dear Joe;

I had a customer in the 70s that loved those old (50s 'Cornbinders') and it was impossible to find parts for them then, here in California. Today with the internet they can be found in the mid-west but sometimes cost a fortune + the shiping.

They have no resale value & you might do better to look elsewhere.

Good luck, John M., #3370...
