Some pics of my latest project...

Balanced/blueprinted/ported F-head with a Clifford header, and a 2bbl Weber carb.
Its an original Chassis Cowl, built with no rear body. I am going to build a depot hack style body for it with trays on each side to hold Ice and Beer for Cookouts etc... Will post up more pictures as I get more done

I love that style of Jeep and your project sounds interesting. Hope you build an album and post it here as you go. One of my favorite pickups was a 134 flathead 4-banger in a 2WD '49, or '50 Willys pickup. It was slow but got good mileage and almost never gave any trouble. It was easy to repair, too.

To put things "in perspective"!

Here; it is against a Vehicle Code sec. (a moving violation) to transport a Dog in the back of your 'pickup truck'. It must be on a leash 'securely' connected to the bed.

Pay no attention to the maroon 50 Chrysler, I do not want to get kicked off the Inliners forum. It was an original New Yorker, Straight 8/ fluid drive. It was a SLUG!! Swapped in a 440 and adapted a 518 OD trans behind it with a 3.73 Dana 44 from a Scout(with disc brakes using Eldorado calipers), and added Discs to the stock front suspension. Its not a SLUG no more!The Wagon in the backround is a 53 Plymouth Swapped in a T-5 behind the flat head, and my Wrangler is a 4.0, hope that redeems me.

Man, your paint looks slick and that little F-head engine is pretty tricked out, too!!

I sold my Model A last week and think I'll look around for a Jeep pickup. You inspired me! I have a Mercedes 240D engine that might be just the thing to power it with, too! Wonder how many bio-diesel Inliners there are?

Thanks, I just finished wet sanding the wood half of the body, after 2 coats of High solids clear, taking it back to the body shop tomorrow for the final coat of clear. I hope to have the thing finished at least body wise, with the top covered by the 22 of september, as we have a big cookout planned. And what is a cookout without the beer buggy?

I'll drink to that! (Was looking for an excuse to open one up)
