Inliners International Forums General Discussion Engines 270 .030 over rings

Where can I get a set of .030 late 270 rings fast? I need a set with 3 compression rings that are 3/32" . I tore it down to see what I needed. Now I need more time before the Karson Kruzers show on the 27th.

Will rings from another motor fit?
Maybe some with the same OD and ID and thickness?
I am not talking about a 270 but maybe from a V8
with the same cylinder diameter.

We got it ready for parts today. 30 years and many thousands of miles, there are still slight hone marks in the cylinders and no ridge.

Thanks guys, There didn't seem to be anyone answering phones this weekend. I was able to pick up the valve springs and mains just now at Napa. The mains were out of sight. Glad I have a few sets of Rod bearings! My friend at Napa thinks I'll have the rings by Wednesday. It'll be a push because of work but I should have it going for the street dance Friday night! It should run and look good!
