Perfect event to see some inliners running the track for fun!!!!
Our car club is hosting a big drag racing and car show event at Pacemakers Dragway Park on May 8, 9, 10 in Mt. Vernon, OH.
This event will feature headsup style grudge match drag races (FOR FUN). There is no brackets, no classes, no eliminations, no winners, no losers. You just bring a buddy up to the starting line, or line up with whoever else is up there and stomp on the go-pedel for fun.
You can run the track as many times as you are willing to wait in staging. This event gives an opportunity to the more street oriented hot rodder to run the track and have fun with their car.
Entries are limited to pre-1972 american power-plant powered vehicles.
There will be a show and shin running in conjuction with the racing and if you aren't up for taking on the track, please consider bringing your ride up to show off. The show is also open to traditional style motorcycles and custom bikes. No crotch rockets please.
The track is an 1/8mi track. Freshly resurfaced. It's out in the country and will give the feel of the way racing used to be.
Doors open at 4pm on friday for test and tune till about 10pm.
Doors open again at 8:30 on Saturday for the actual event
Sunday is a pack-up and say good bye type of day.
Camping is encouraged.
