New to the inline engines, have read that single pattern cams work better than dual pattern cams for th Chevy 250 6. I am in the process of rebuilding a marine 250 and want more power. Any advice ?

Yes there is lots of good info there.
It is the Left hand section of inliners.org not the bulletin board.
I only say that cause I checked the board first... and felt like a dufas.

Ive seen the list of cams somewhere else online, is there a cam that most have had good luck with, this is going to be a marine application, but I am looking for more Hp/Tq than the stock "marine" cam

Probably the best idea there would be to call some of the cam grinders and ask them. Iskendarian, Comp Cams, Lunati, Crower, etc., etc. Marine cam profiles are somewhat different than automotive cam profiles, and almost all of the cams advertised in magazines, web sites, and so on are automotive cams.
