A while back I asked 'Where have all the Jag powered altereds go?'
Well some have resurfaced under the Wild Bunch Raceing banner,these guys are keeping the UK drag racing heritage up and running,cant wait to see/hear them again,on another slant, I was stareing under the hood of a sixties Jag saloon trying to figgure out what was differant when it was pointed out that the 6 pot engine was from a fuel injected XJS,the car owner didnt seem to know much,but he did grin when asked how it went

Hi Blue58 . . .

I was in your neck of the woods over holidays. I was doing some project work in Leeds that kept me in town over the 4th of July weekend. We rode the train up to York on Saturday and spent the day doing the touristy things . . .

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Jags - but it is the older ones I fancy. There is a car show at a local country club not far from my house - each year has a different theme - making for a bit of homogeneity in each show - but lots of variety year to year. A few years back they invited Jag owners:

An XJS transplant sounds like a nice swap - certainly a much lighter lump then what was there originally!

Do you have any source of specs for Jag rods? Pin size, big end & bearing size,length and width?

My interest is pretty casual - I have never owned or wrenched on a Jag. Only links I can offer are:

and
XKs Unlimited
which has detailed pdfs online such as exploded parts diagrams:
