thinking about the T5 in a recent thread and not knowing if any recent threads have shown this tech tip.

I used a chunk of UHMW , a machinable plastic that worked out very well and cost me 1-buckaroo sold as scrap. it is .880 as opposed to 1.0'' this really doesn't matter that much, it's just getting some deck height to the shifter platform and the tranny bolt flange. my throw is oh maybe 8-9inches between 1st & 2nd. the piece you use determines how far apart you drill the ''new'' pin hole placement.
