Inliners International Forums General Discussion Engines what is it?

a friend called and had 2 crated engines bought at an auction. he said they were flatheads,new,never used. he described them as having the distributor hole in the head. any idea what this flat 6 is? i bought them site unseen and with the snow on the ground it's driving me nuts as to what they may be.

Could be a Continental Red Seal Engine. They used a lot of them in Industrial Equipment,Kiser/Fraser (sp) cars

I don't know but I'm dying of curiousity. What do you plan to use them in?

I think Scrapiron is right. They don't, by chance, have superchargers on them... do they???
