I'm trying to get a little more active in the 'show & tell' area here and have finally uploaded a few pictures and videos for practice and i'll try to get better as time goes on. In a 'nutshell' it's a '48 Aerosedan, w/ MII IFS, 'LARSON STAGE I' 292, 200-4R, '68 Cougar 8" rear w/ 3.88 gears, Vintage Air, EZ-Wire, AFCO radiator, PS,PB, tilt steering column w/ shift from '85 Olds 88, and many more body mods that I'll try to write up later. Enjoy, Critique, pls don't kill me! http://s639.photobucket.com/albums/uu117/lars62go/PINK%20CAR/

Pretty in Pink, huh. Very cool. Great sound. I like the front fender treatment. Can you explain a little how you acheived that?

If you mean the 'Frenched' Headlights, they're 52-54 Merc rims & bezels ( http://www.thenightprowlers.com ). Weld on the rims, fill, smooth & paint. Reinstall buckets, rewire, trim w/ bezels that you have drilled to match the tabs that you welded in and drilled earlier. Simple right? WRONG! Too much to explain with a keyboard, but I'll be glad to talk - send PM. Oh, and I added a BODY MODS folder and uploaded a different shot of the lights. I also added one of my Brother's '48 to the PINK CAR folder which should sort of explain the Pink paint. I used to have a 'how to' on those lights and it might be hidden in this cpu somewhere, I'll look for it. Found it: http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/howto/135_0306_french/index.htmlThis is way different using the Hagan Kit on an AD truck. My fenders had peaks to the outer edge and bumpouts to the inner edge which caused metal work beyond my skills so I had to farm it out. And now the rest of it is 'farmed out' to a Body Shop to finish and paint so I can't verify the way I remounted the buckets but think I put them in from the rear. Might be going by there tomorrow.

No. Actually I meant the side treatment between the door and fender as seen in this pic you posted. That's not stock is it? OOPS! I just looked up pics of stock '48 Aero's and that door/fender cut is stock. Never knew that. Really sets the body style off. http://s639.photobucket.com/albums/uu117...%3DDSC00910.jpg

OOPS! My bad! All Chev cars '42-'48 had the same 'doorhumps' in fact IIRC all GM cars had them with Chev being the smallest. Below the hump s/b a rocker panel extension that fills in the 'blank' space. I'm just having the body shop tack a skirt onto the bottom of the hump for appearance purposes. Like this, they've started this side. http://s639.photobucket.com/albums/uu117/lars62go/BODY%20MODS/?action=view¤t=PICT0098.jpg

The looks now are far better.
I bet your Bro wrinkled some paint with the flame thrower.

He keeps the tips long enough so he usually only ends up with some soot on the bumper. I don't agree with using my motor for a fuel pump so mine won't have flame throwers. He wears out those 327's and 350's but they're 'a dime a dozen', right?

No, not all done yet, are they ever 'all done'? The paint still needs to be wet sanded and buffed, a new window and wx strips to install, stereo, and a new interior for starters. Then some shake down runs to see what else I need to fix or replace.
