Maybe it's one of my myriad conection problems.

Maybe it's a phantom from the Egyptians trying to turn off the net.

But before I log on here, before I select the "Bulletin Board" link to the left, the right frame (page, chunk of the screen that usually shows the lates't picture, currently the raffle engine IIRC) shows a "web ring" (labled that somewhere) and something in there said something about "Classic Chevy Marketplace".

Is anyone else getting that?

It's done it to me a few times now, I didn't say anythig at first as it wouldn't be the first time I had a flaky connection, temporarily.

It started that with me a while back, maybe a coupla weeks ago, but I assumed it was something on my end because when I created a shortcut to the 'side' menu from my desktop it works ok. My conclusion, just more of that 'computer FM'

So, the important question now, is it a bad thing?

It probably was my 'fat fingers', it should be fixed now. Soon there will (finally) be a new feature on the main page, I haven't received any articles so I will have to find something that works. Nothing to report on the Classifieds yet, any ideas??

Tim,
For the classifieds, how about just making a new "Classified" Section. Have someone be the moderator of it and only let the ads be out there for 30 days. I also suggest putting it in the member (signed in) area to keep it alittle more private.

Why would the classifieds need to be Private? If they could be???? set-up as a auto Delete after 30 days there would be no real need to have a moderator for it.And if you want Private for PAID members only then use the 12 ports news That's what we have it for.

The only reason to have the classifieds private that I can think of is.
To not let search engines get your personal info. Telephone or email address if posted. This will not stop all but will limit the outside access to those bad software programs and people.

Good idea on self deleting after 30 days.

Try clearing your browsing history/cookies and see if that clears up the problem.

Tim,
My browser(Firefox) was set up to auto-delete prior to that but I havn't had it come up since. The WebRing page didn't come up every time I visited, just sporatic. I'll let you know if it comes back later.
EDIT: Duhhh, I just realized I was using Google Chrome when that happened(have both browsers), maybe that was it.

Stephen
