Here's something just fresh out of the booth. I fabricated a radiator shroud to hide all the the unsightly AC dryer, hoses and the front of the grille area. The shroud is fiberglass molded over a wooded form. It has a nice flange that follows the front fender line and fits quite well. I painted it and gave it to my buddy to stripe. Came out pretty nice, eh?

Beater,

Haven't started those just yet. Wll attempt the assembly soon. Got some really good instructions. The easy stuff comes first.

That shroud is what the factory should have built, and it looks like it belongs where it is -- under-the-hood "streamlining" in the spirit of 1940.

My good friend Woody Fesler, a master craftsman, built a similar shroud of metal for my '52, mainly to hide the electric fan. It looks like a factory piece, but it ain't nearly so fancy as the one you have made.

God's Peace to you.

Thanks for your nice comments, Don.
I'll be going to GoodGuys next week in Columbus and at Indy in Sept. at the 500. Hope to meet up with you at one of those events.

The North Central Picnic is advertised in the most recent Twelve-Port News, to meet 20 August, i believe -- i have not the issue to hand.

We plan to have the '49 Studebaker pickup there, and hope to see everyone else. i need to write Alice a note.

God's Peace to you.
