If a system that used junkyard LS V8 Coils could be had that would run the 6 coils, had a fully adjustable spark curve, boost retard, tach output and adjustable rev limiter, and had 3 (4 with a tach connection)wires to hook to the vehicle (beside the coils) would you be interested?
so.... comments please
1) not for me - like my points 2) not for me like original look with a HEI/Pertronix conversion 3) Maybe depends on how hard it would be to install 4) that would be different and I like different... yes please

Getting rid of a high voltage distributor for plug on coil is always a good idea on modern engines with their 11-1 compression ratios leaner fuel mixtures and on board computer controls. On vintage engines with less demands on the ignition system, maybe not...But.... Late in WW2 this was done on a few piston engine aircraft without electronics and using a mechanical "distributor" to send out the low voltage signal to each coil in the firing order. So.....could be done by modifying a stock points distributor to send battery voltage to each coil but likely no more accurate than what we have now....So move on to electronic controls.

Helloooooo Knock-knock-knock. Is this thing on? Hmmm, apparently not. Sounds like a neat system, but I've got a 4200, and diesels. If it fit a 4 cyl, and Coil On Plug coil packs that might be different for me (but it's hard to say)

Another detail - no timing wheel to mount on the damper....

I want to hear more about it. Would work great for plenty of engines.

OK, I'll listen but you know I'll never finish anything. I'm pretty good at stacking up piles of parts.
