Hi,

I need to replace the pulley behind the vibration dampener, due to a dent in the pulley that results in the fan belt keeps jumping off..

I need to buy a new pulley, must i buy the whole dampener with pulley or can they be separated?
Also: been hearing that the dampener for chevy 235 fits, anyone know anything about this?
Tips on where to buy the parts?

Fred, The dampener pulleys are riveted in place. They could be replaced but it would take some work and the new unit would need to be balanced. The water pump pulleys press on but I don't know what pulley will work or where to find them other than in some old guy's stash. A-1 Cardone is the major rebuilder here and they recently listed both a narrow and wide pullet water pump.

I have read that SBC & BBc dampeners will fit. I don't know what that works with the L6 harmonics or belt alignment.
Damper Dudes lists 270 rebuilds. I don't know if they require a core.
