I got a 2spd powerglide to replace my 3spd saginaw. Any torque converter suggestions? The PG is out of a 1971 Nova that had a 250 L6 coupled to it. Gearing is 1.82:1, 1.00:1

In other news, if someone needs a 3 speed, I have one I wont be needing.

I would not waste my time w/a PG trans, you can swap in a TH350 trans, no change of driveshaft, crossmember.

You will get better acceleration everwhere.

If your engine is all stock, just to be cheap, you can use a 10" Chevy Vega converter that will give you a higher stall for cheap.

It's not that beefy, but for a stock engine not making that much power, it will work fine.

When it rolls for the firtst time, it will be turbocharged. The PG is a freebie I got when I bought the 250.

Until I scrape together some trans cash, it will have to get me around. In the interim, is there something I can do to the PG (besides change it).
