I am planning on a manual transmission behind a 292 in my 1952 3100 truck. I planned on using the various recommendations that I have re-searched for combining a NWC T5 from a Camaro and the tail shaft from a S10 that appears to be a common build and recommendation to move the shifter forward preventing it from interfering with a bench seat. I have found a NV3500 from a V6 S10 that would place the shifter in the correct location but the only thing I see different is that it has an electronic speedometer and an integrated hydraulic throw out bearing. Every thing else would appear to fit. They also used these units in full size 1500 pickups with the V6 and 4.8l V8s with “granny 1st gear”. In my area the cost for the NV3500 is about the same as 2 T5’s needed for the conversion. I would appreciate any comments and or recommendations on using the NV3500 in my application. Thanks
