past experience on street engines in general says cast iron exhaust last longer and less tendency for exhaust vales to warp (slower cool down (?))..but due to the lower rpm and smaller size...292 in my case..how will power compare from full tube headers like clifford to dual cast manifolds from langdon?...found an offy intake on ebay..the smaller runner volume compared to clifford will probably limit power but hoping throttle response will be better at low rpm due to higher velocity...?????? am I over thinking this?....may put in a bit more cam than I should...just gotta have that badbutt rumpetta rumpetta!!!!!!!!

I have found that when running a full exhaust system with a muffler(s) the difference between long tube headers and cast dual outlet manifolds is minimal.

With open exhausts on a competition engine that is a different story.

makes sense....being honest...95% of my driving will be street....cast iron cheaper than cliffords....300% easier when it comes to chassis clearance so at least for now I will go with that..even the few times I will run thru the gears at rod shows and test/tune nights the mufflers will be on..thanx
