I'm thinking I'm going to replace my mechanical pump with an electric. I know I don't want very high pressure but I have no idea about the volume (GPH). 161 cu in motor, 1 barrel Carter YF.

Any ideas about volume?

Thanks
Paul

A general rule of thumb is to assume a BSFC (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) number of 0.5 lb/hp-hr gasoline. So if you are making 100 hp you need 100 x .5 = 50 lb gas/hr = 7.8 gal/hr = 0.13 gal/min.
