Has anyone attempted to install a Fenton 235/261 intake on a 1936 207 engine? Not concerned with heat exhaust hook up, I know that is different. What about the connection to the head? I have access to a machine shop. I wonder if its worth the mod.

I've heard that the pre-1937 Stovebolt engines such as these don't share any common parts to the later engines.

It is my understanding that the 207 is longer by an inch & half - 29 9/16" versus 28 1/16". So I suspect a 216 intake would be too narrow. Then again I am not sure about bore spacing and placement with only three main bearings. I have no experience with these engines.

Although the 207 engine is half an inch longer I once held a 216 intake manifold to the 207 head and it appeared that it would go right on. The exhaust manifold wont fit though. The only other parts that I can see that were never changed from 1929 to 1962 were the tappets.
