I ended up with a rebuilt 292 for my truck for a buddy of mine. When he put it together a few years back I had gotten him a Sealed Power R.V. cam for it thru work but since then can no longer find the paper work to get the specs on it. I took the head over to a machinist buddy and he has installed the lump ports and the 1.6" exh valves but trying to set up a set of springs. Is anybody familiar with this cam or would have the specs for it? Have had no luck at all trying to find it online.

Tks..Don

Biggest problem is the motor was all together before I took the head off and didn't want to really have to pull the cam out.

WITH a rv cam set the springs up stock spec's. rv cams are not hi-perf at all. 1.6 exh. valves will make a good low rpm engine and help with fuel milage.

RV-cam has so many meanings its hard to tell. At .050 the duration could be anywhere from 190 to 210.

Easiest thing to do is put a dial indicator on the pushrods (make a tube to keep things straight and free) and measure the intake & exhaust lobe lifts. Actually good idea to do all 12 if its apart, make sure you don't have any bad lobes which is all too common today. From the lobe lift it might be easy to guess which cam you have.

If that doesn't work you can degree the cam still in the engine, either in or out of the vehicle. Obviously easier if its out but I've done it both ways. That will tell you for sure with some careful measuring, no need to pull the cam.
