Have a 1965 C-10 w/ 292 straight sixer' and the "puppy-dog", will not start when the fog sets in. Rain, snow and sleet starts like she just came off the show-room floor!!! Don't want ta' hassel with a drop cord or a cover, so was hopin' I might be able to get some advice!? Any response is appreciated. Ta' all, have a great New Years. Outta here... ~ Skip

Put a new distributor cap on but to no avail...

Have you tried replacing the plug wires? Especially if you are running o-rings or wire-ties that hold them in bundles . . . spark can actually go to the wrong cylinder . . . or jump to the block short of the plug.

My brother had a Dodge that hated any dampness - cheapo wires made it worse. You could see and hear sparks under the hood! Strange that it only happens for you in the fog.

He always had to run the best grade Napa wires and use pleny of dielectric grease under the cap and under the boots. Even then it was a pain in the rain . . .
