Hey guys,
I am installing a 7 1/8" Fisher/Vector damper onto my Chevy 250 inline (no v-grooves built in)
I was wondering do you guys machine off a little from the damper so it will sit closer to the timeing cover?
I have used an 8" Chevy damper before but I did not machine off any material, so all the accessories are moved further forward.
If I machine off material,,, how much do you remove .375 roughly?
Thanks!
Hank

Thanks for the reply!
I thought I had read here somewhere, that they had removed material from the V-8 damper so the damper sits closer to the timeing cover?
Maybe not?

Yes it can be cut. But when I bought my fisher it had a timing ring on it and it sat very close to the cover to start with.
